Film Review: Wonder Park

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Wonder Park tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive. One magical day, June is running through the woods to find her way home where she discovers an old rollercoaster car and climbs inside. She suddenly finds herself in Wonderland, an amusement park she had created in her mind and put aside. All of her rides and characters are brought to life but are falling into disarray without her. Now, with the help of her fun and lovable park characters, June will have to put the wonder back in Wonderland before it is lost forever. (Credit Rotten Tomatoes)

I came across this film by chance as Joe Sugg mentioned he was the voice of one of the characters in a YouTube video I was watching. When I saw that it had become available in the play-store I purchased it but kept putting off watching it.

I wish I had watched it sooner.

I am a real lover of animated family films. I think they are the perfect kind of film to watch on a Sunday afternoon. This one didn’t disappoint and I think with a duration of 1 hour 26 minutes it is also a good length for kids to be able to sit and watch without getting too distracted.

I think the best way to describe this film is a mix between Toy Story, Up and Inside Out which makes it so easy to get invested in the characters and story line of the film.

I have seen a lot of negative reviews for this film which I personally do not agree with. This film celebrates the power of imagination and love which is refreshing to see in a film.

I would definitely watch it again.
